Import Procedures
- Reserve your kennel/cat chalet by sending us the required deposit plus a completed, signed contract (available on request). Due to demand for chalets/kennels, provisional reservations will only be accepted for a maximum of 14 days pending receipt of deposits.
- We will apply to the Department for an import licence and other relevant paperwork for your animal(s). The boarding documents and red labels will then be sent direct to you at your place of residence abroad. The boarding documents allow your pet(s) onto the plane/ferry for their journey to Great Britain. The red labels must be attached to the travelling container(s).
- If you are sending your pet(s) from a country outside the European Union, you must complete a C5 Customs Form to enable your pet(s) to clear customs at the port of arrival. We will send you this form in advance.
- Please advise us as soon as you have arranged the flight/ferry journey for your pet(s) so that we can make arrangements to be at the airport/port in plenty of time. Please advise us immediately if any changes have to be made to existing plans.
- On arrival in quarantine, all animals are required by law to be vaccinated against Rabies within 24 hours, regardless of whether or not they have already been vaccinated in their home country. (This does not apply to animals which may be eligible for early release under the PETS scheme.)
- Please supply us with vaccination certificates for your pet(s) (for annual boosters), or photocopies of certificates, as we must have proof that all annual vaccinations are completely up to date. Our veterinary surgeon will administer these vaccinations if they are not up to date or if no vaccination certificate is available.
- You will receive an invoice every 30 days, the first invoice being due 30 days after the arrival of your pet(s) into quarantine. These will be sent to your current place of residence or handed to you when you visit, unless other arrangements have been made.
